Expanding and contracting with sudden bursts of intensity, it never shies away from showing you exactly what it wants to, but always stops short of telling you what to think.
Picking from the messy guts of indian youth culture, dirty stories rearrange pieces to present a new order that’s both reflective and radical. Merging visuals and text to dance between fundamental confusion and total irreverence; between depths of history, exposure, hunger and vulnerability.

About issue 4 “Identity” : dirty’s issue 04, ‘Identity’, shot exclusively by Tim Walker in India, is a collectible documenting the history of LGBTQIA+ identities and gender expression in the Indian subcontinent and its diasporic people.
It traces the evolution of a spectrum of identities from the ancient times all the way through to the current day, celebrating events, icons, and allies of the liberation movement, and the joy of queer existence. ‘Identity’ is to become a foremost documentation of queer history in the country, in visual essay format.
